LCMS String Ensembles
We offer a wide-variety of string ensembles for all ages and levels and at minimal or no-cost to students enrolled in private string lessons at LCMS. Students not enrolled in private lessons at LCMS are most welcome to join our ensembles; please contact the Registrar at 604-534-2848 or info@langleymusic.com to find the right match for you.
Suzuki Violin Performance Groups
Suzuki violin students participate in weekly performance classes at their level.

Cello Performance Groups
Students build group playing skills and develop their technique. The group also prepares works for performance at LCMS concerts.

Orchestras
Students can develop their skills by learning the basics of ensemble music, the discipline of playing in a section and the requirements of following a conductor. Students from string programs outside of the school are welcome to register and are required to audition to determine placement in the appropriate level.
Students who are studying symphonic Woodwind and Brass instruments at advanced & senior levels may audition for orchestra.

LCMS Fiddlers
The LCMS Fiddlers prepare lively programs for various community events throughout the year. Fiddlers from the community are welcome to join the ensemble and learn a variety of fiddle and pop music. An audition is required for students not studying strings at LCMS.

Advanced Violin Fundamentals
This class focuses on technique (scales/arpeggios), ear training, sight reading, and orchestral excerpts. It is appropriate for advanced level RCM exam preparation, and for honing technical basics.

Viola Ensemble
