Microcosmos Quartet - Rose Gellert Hall Series

Microcosmos was formed in Vancouver in the spring of 2010 to perform the rich repertoire of string quartets written in the past 100 years. Marc Destrubé(violin), Andrea Siradze(violin), Tawnya Popoff(viola) and Rebecca Wenham(cello) will play one of the pillars of the repertoire for string quartet, Schubert’s deeply-moving ‘Death and the Maiden’ quartet, along with ground-breaking works from two of the most important composers of the early 20th century, Debussy’s String Quartet in g minor, Op. 10 and Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for String Quartet.
