LCMS Virtual Concerto Competition Workshop

Thursday, April 23 – 7pm

Concert Orchestra students, friends and family are invited to attend LCMS’s first-ever virtual Concerto Competition!

The evening will begin with a brief discussion on concerto playing, both from the perspective of a soloist and concertmaster of a major orchestra. A link with the competitor’s audition performances will then be shared for viewing, to be followed with further comments from our clinician.

We are honoured to have Karl Stobbe, Concertmaster of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and Assistant Concertmaster of the Winnipeg Symphony, as a guest adjudicator and workshop clinician. The esteemed violinist will be joining us from Winnipeg, and will be providing insights into concerto playing and specific participant performances.
