Calling Young Composers! The 3rd Annual Young Composer’s Competition is open to students from LCMS and from within the community.
Composers will have the opportunity to work with the Rose Gellert String Quartet during this workshop where their pieces will be performed and critiqued by the ensemble and jury.
The Leonard Woods Memorial Award will be awarded to winning works in each category, and winning works will be premiered by the Quartet in concert as part of the Spring Break Chamber Music Camp Concert.
We are excited to once again collaborate with visual arts students from Langley Fine Arts School, whose artwork will be used as the inspiration for this year’s young composers.
The workshop will take place on March 20, 2019, from 12-3pm. Winning works will be performed by the Rose Gellert String Quartet, as part of the Spring Break Chamber Music Camp Concert.
