Free Children’s Concert at Langley Community Music School Annual Open House
LANGLEY, BC — Langley Community Music School (LCMS) is hosting their annual Fall Community Day Open House on Saturday, September 9, 2017, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, featuring a free concert with celebrated children’s entertainer Chris Hamilton and the Sticky Jam Band at 12:00 pm.
Opening the LCMS 2017-2018 Children’s Concert season, the Chris Hamilton and the Sticky Jam Band will delight audiences of all ages, with his fun, rockin’, folksy, funky style of music. Inspired by the likes of Stompin’ Tom Connors, Bob Marley, and Sesame Street, Chris Hamilton’s highly interactive and energetic performances incite sing-alongs, induce dancing, invite silliness, and exude laughter. With his comic-like character and an extensive collection of original bouncy songs, like “Sticky Situations” and “Boogie Child”, Chris Hamilton and the Sticky Jam Band know how to make a party.
Join us for this festive Open House and take the opportunity to learn about LCMS programs and classes. Take a tour, meet teachers and get in the groove with Chris Hamilton and the Sticky Jam Band.
“We invite everyone in the community to come and discover all that the Langley Community Music School has to offer,” says LCMS Principal Susan Magnusson. “We have lessons, programs and musical experiences for all ages, and are proud to be offering children’s concerts free to the community.”
No registration is necessary for the Open House and children’s concert. Registration for Fall classes will also be available at the Open House.
And mark your calendars for two other free children’s concerts later this school year: (1) Family Intro to Music Night with Bruce Henczel, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm; and (2) Rose Gellert String Quartet & Guests, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12:30-2:30 pm.
Langley Community Music School and the Rose Gellert Hall is located at 4899 207 Street, Langley, BC.
