Bachelor of Music degree (University of British Columbia), Artist Diploma (Vancouver Academy of Music, and Master’s of Music degree in Voice (Manhattan School of Music, New York City).
Additional training with Young Artist Programs at Glimmerglass Opera, the Tanglewood Music Festival, and the Canadian Opera Company. Vocal studies with David Meek, Patricia Misslin and Mary Morrison. Professional singing career includes performances with many of Canada’s opera companies, orchestras and music ensembles in various genres, including those involved with the creation of new works.
Tamara’s career now encompasses teaching music to the children at Roots and Wings Montessori School ( pre-school age to grade 9), conducting the Zing! Children’s Choir in Vancouver and teaching. private lessons in her studio.
She enjoys sharing in the music leading at her church and supports the endeavours of the B.C. Orff Chapter, advocating that music is a living force vital to the education of every child in our diverse society.
Tamara resides in Cloverdale with her husband Ian, their son, Jonathan and daughter, Eliana, who all love to sing!
