Kristine Keil was born in Edmonton, Alberta and began her violin studies at age three using the Suzuki method. She later studied with John Loban at the University of British Columbia and received her Bachelor of Music with a major in Violin Performance. Kristine completed the Orchestral Training Program at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and studied with Victor Danchenko and David Zafer during this time. She played professionally with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles in Ontario.
Kristine truly enjoys working with children and would like to inspire a love of music and help them achieve their musical goals. She has received Suzuki training at institutes in Chicago and Langley. Kristine is familiar with the Royal Conservatory Program and was a member of the Board of Examiners from 1994-2002. She has taught violin and general music in a variety of settings including Suzuki schools, the Royal Conservatory of Music, the Langley Community Music School and the Surrey school district. Kristine has also enjoyed leading string groups and was the conductor of the junior division of the Surry Youth Orchestra from 2000-2006 as well as the Junior Strings at the Langley Community Music School from 2008-2010.
