Calla has performed in various music theatre productions including opera, 20th century music productions and musical theatre. She was also nominated for an ACTRA award for her performance of Debussy’s La Voix Humaine. After living in London, England for four years, she returned to Canada and performed in theatre companies primarily in Toronto, some of which include Tapestry Singers, the Mirvish Toronto production of Mikado as well as a U.S. tour including New York… two seasons at The Stratford Festival and a member of the original cast of Les Miserables. After completing her 750th show of Les Miserables, Calla left theatre to attend law school at Dalhousie University. Following graduation, she moved to B.C. to be closer to family. Calla has never lost her passion for music and in her spare time has enjoyed many music projects including performances in a Weill Women showcase of Kurt Weill music and recently one woman shows of Broadway and Film music. She has a Master of Music degree in voice from the University of Saskatchewan and attended the Royal College of Music Opera School.
