Caroline Olsen is a versatile and experienced string performer and educator in the Vancouver area. Since earning her master’s in viola performance from the University of British Columbia, she has maintained a core violist role with the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and often appears with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Island Symphony, Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Symphony 21, and the Pacific Baroque Orchestra.

In demand for chamber collaborations, her 2025-2026 season includes performances with the Rose Gellert and Black Dog String Quartets, as well as Chroma Collective. Complementary projects incorporate studio and live work in diverse genres, currently performing with Mariachi Tabasko and The Living Orchestra.

A passionate educator with Suzuki teacher training, she has taught private violin and viola music lessons to students of all ages throughout her career. Caroline serves as secretary of the Canadian Viola Society, helping to nurture the nationwide community of violists.
