Thursdays, 7-8pm
This in-person class is suitable for students who have never taken any theory before and would like to ‘get their feet wet’ without committing to a full course this summer. Material worked on will be from the RCM Theory 3 and 4 syllabus and will include some of the following: note recognition, proper notation of notes/rhythms/accidentals on a staff, key signatures, major and minor scales, melody writing, tonic and dominant triads, and writing major, minor, and perfect intervals. Students will be able to enrol in Theory 5 in September 2022 after completing this course.
