Free ~ Composers' Notes with Alexina Louie

Sunday, November 29, 2:30pm (45 min)
With host, Marcel Bergmann

Back by popular demand! We are pleased to share another session of Composers’ Notes featuring one of Canada’s most celebrated composers, Alexina Louie. Louie writes music with an imaginative and spiritual blend of Asian and Western influences, and her compositions have earned many prizes, including the Order of Canada and multiple Juno and SOCAN Awards.

In this edition, Alexina will share some insight into her creative process and approaches to composition, with a particular focus on her pedagogical piano music.

This session will be the fifth in our online series featuring composers working in different genres and hosted by LCMS’ Composer-in-Residence, renowned musician and composer, Marcel Bergmann.

This FREE event will take place on Zoom.
