Postponed ~ Fringe Percussion's "Tour de Force" - Concerts Café Classico Series

Due to the most recent announcement regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and current Province-wide restrictions, the Tour de Force – Fringe Percussion Ensemble concert on Sunday, April 25th has been postponed until further notice.

Stay tuned: we are monitoring the restrictions carefully and will communicate regarding the rescheduling of concerts as soon as possible. Please contact the office at 604-534-2848 if you’ve any questions or concerns.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your continued support; we look forward to sharing live music with you again soon!

Fringe Percussion’s Tour de Force is an engaging programme of masterworks, world music, and new music. It includes compositions by John Wyre and Steve Reich that demonstrate the percussion ensemble’s powerful voice for musical expression, global-influenced music by Gael Chabot-Leclerc and Ken Shorley, and a vibrant new work by Greg Samek.

For audiences new to the percussion ensemble, this is an accessible and compelling program. Internationally-recognized repertoire provides a familiar musical portrait, global music highlights the myriad traditions for which percussion is known, and newer music by the ensemble’s members adds charm and excitement.

This concert will be performed to a small audience in the Rose Gellert Hall, with every measure taken to ensure a safe, socially distanced environment. The concert will be approximately 60 min, with no intermission.

Concert: Starts at 3:00pm
