Free Children’s Concert & Open House

Join us at our annual Open House, featuring a FREE children’s concert with singer and story teller, Mike Bryden! This is a fantastic event for all ages, and a great chance to take a tour of our world-class musical facility, speak with teachers and learn more about the programs and enrichment classes that we offer to students of all levels.

The concert, “Sing-Along Storytime” offers children of all ages a unique blend of playful songs and live drawings with celebrated entertainer and artist, Mike Bryden. The interactive performance is filled with positivity and is highly engaging for kids and parents alike, with lots of sing-a-long moments.

Everyone is welcome and admission is free, so invite your friends and join us for this fun afternoon that the whole family will enjoy!

Mike Bryden is a Vancouver-based, bilingual children’s entertainer who delights audiences with a playful blend of songs, stories and live drawings. His popular 2019 debut release, Sing Song Sayings, is a bouncy collection of tunes that use storytelling to “kid-splain” traditional sayings like “Every Dog Has it’s Day” and “Don’t Count Your Chickens ‘Till Their Hatched.

This fall Mike will be releasing his highly anticipated second album, Try Try Again, which includes ten new, audience-tested songs that explore themes of perseverance, family, creativity and good old fashioned silliness.

Mike’s work has been recognized by Creative BC and the Parent’s Choice Foundation. His song Doctor Giggles was a finalist for an International Songwriter’s Award. He is also known for his popular family-oriented variety show, The East Van Family Jams who’s noteworthy guests include Jill Barber, Suzie Ungerlieder & Desiree Dawson.
