Hailed by the Toronto star as “Canada’s pre-eminent clarinetist and wind soloist,” James Campbell has performed solo and chamber music concerts in 30 countries in many of the world’s great concert halls. He has over 40 recordings, over 30 works commissioned, a Juno Award (Stolen Jems), a Roy Thomson Hall Award, Canad’s Artist of the Year, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, and Canada’s highest honor, the Order of Canada. Composer, improvisor and pianist Marcel Bergmann will join him in an eclectic programme from classical to jazz.
