They will be joined by Marcel Bergmann to perform the romantic and spirited Dvorak piano quintet. To round out the programme, the quartet will also be joined by the Bergmann Duo to perform Marcel’s own fiery verson of Piazzolla Tangos for piano duet and string quartet.

The New York Times has called him “a pianist who makes every note count,” and he was named Young Artist of the Year by Grammophone magazine. Jan’s recital will feature some of his most beloved repertoire, including works by Chopin, Schumann and Ravel.

Hailed as ‘a masterpiece,’ the CD features Brad on piano, Darren Radtke on bass and Bernie Arai on drums. A recent review describes Turner’s piano style as exhibiting the quirky eccentricities of Thelonius Monk tempered with the broader harmonic palette of British pianist John Taylor.  An evening of jazz not to be missed!
