Emily graduated with a master’s degree from Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Centre (London, UK) and a bachelor’s degree in music from UBC. She has worked with many different client groups such as children, young adults, palliative care and mental health. She has extended experience in working with children/youth with special needs such as autism, learning difficulties, developmental delay and emotional/behavioural issues. Emily also works with people in palliative care and their family during bereavement. She is very experienced in working with people from various background and life experiences. She is also one of the very few therapists in BC that has a master’s degree qualification in music therapy. Emily has worked as a music therapist in schools, hospitals, hospices and community centres. She is also an active freelance musician and a music teacher.
