bios_LCMS_Alisia_LyneSinging and performing since the age of 7, Alisia Lyne, a singer/songwriter from BC Canada, brings a new sound to all styles of music, a true Canadian talent that everyone can appreciate and enjoy.

With an education in music of all genres, Alisia focused on vocal performance in Jazz, New Country, Pop and Studio Singing. Alisia has appeared on The Vicki Gabereau Show and CBC Spotlight on Vancouver, she has also performed with some of Canada’s top entertainers and ensembles from Jim Byrnes, Dee Daniels, Brad Turner, Dal Richards, Salome Bey, and Bob McGrath to The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as performing in various events for the BC Songwriters Association and the BC Country Music Association.

As well as her solo works, Alisia has also performed in Resolution, a top performing Chamber/Madrigal ensemble, Sienna, a New Country Vocal Harmony Band, Nite Cap, one of Western Canada’s top Vocal Jazz ensembles Soli and Profusio, an acapella quintet comprised of a talented group of professional singers around the lower mainland . In 2003 Alisia was awarded Best Songwriter by the BCCMA in their Best Of BC competition for her original song Always Be There For You. The BCCMA put out a compilation album featuring this song as well as some of British Columbia’s best New Country talent, which was presented at the Western Canadian Music Awards in Vancouver. The CD is available from the BCCMA and in record stores. 2005 was a very eventful year for Alisia as she competed in the USA’s largest Country Music talent search, The Colgate Country Showdown. She won the local competition in Mt. Vernon Washington, hosted by radio station KAPS 660 AM, with two original compositions she performed and then advanced to compete in the Regionals in St. Maries, Idaho. She also had a busy schedule performing locally at gigs, fairs, special events and competitions.

Alisia’s music has reached the far corners of the Globe and can be heard playing regularly on Indie stations in Europe and in the USA. With 2013 well underway, Alisia is diversifying her time working as a studio session singer, most recently for Emmy Award winning Composer/Producer David Pierce, playing local festivals and events, writing new material and working towards a debut album with hopes to release it Independently in the coming year, and raising her two young sons Mason and Spencer.
